LOOK ENVIRONMENT

The environment is designed to be inclusive, collaborative, supportive and sensitive to the special and individual needs of the students.  Students will be encouraged to collaborate with each other and with instructors, providing support and feedback to help shape each project.

 LECTURE ENVIRONMENT

Don't let the world "lecture" scare you. It's actually a creative cocoon.  We talk about story ideas and together develop them so they are ready to go to camera. We'll also watch great docs and short films.  This is the imagining class and you'll also learn the basics in constructing long form and cinematic narratives.

LAB ENVIRONMENT

These are hands on camera, lighting, sound and editing workshops.  By the time you have developed your story in the lectures you'll be ready to start shooting, writing and editing.

HOW YOU CAN HELP

Be respectful of everyone.  Stay in touch between classes.  Work together.  Be responsible.  Don't wreck the equipment. Be on time for classes and shoots.  if you're feeling a bit "off" let someone know.  Commit to many hours a week outside of class.
